Salim Ali Sarovar

Salim Ali Sarovar (lake) popularly known as Salim Ali Talab is located near Delhi Gate, opposite Himayat Bagh, Aurangabad. It is located in the northern part of the city. During the Mughal period, it was known as Khiziri Talab. It has been renamed after the great ornithologist and naturalist Salim Ali. It also has a bird Sanctuary and a garden maintained by the Aurangabad Municipal Corporation.


Salim Ali Sarovar Lake, located in the center of the city, is a stunning location for bird-watching, nesting, and viewing a wide variety of migration species. For those who appreciate the beauty of nature, it is a peaceful location. The Salim Ali Sarovar Lake is 3 kilometers away from Aurangabad by road. The Lake is accessible to tourists from all over the world every day. For many of India's rarest birds, it is heaven on earth and their best habitat.
